The Shadow Hierarchy
After restoring the nested nest, Tinker leads you deeper into the fortress. The shadows seem to follow you, and the air grows heavier – almost like a tangible presence. Eventually, you reach a hall surrounded by pillars, each marked with a different symbol.
In the center stands Umbra, her form barely visible. “You have overcome my traps,” she murmurs, her voice both a whisper and a thunderclap. “But can you decipher my hierarchy? Each pillar has its meaning. Each position plays a role. Only by understanding the order you will find the key.”
The pillars rise before you like guardians of an ancient secret. Each seems to radiate a different energy, yet they all feel ominous. Umbra’s voice echoes through the darkness: “Only those who grasp the order of shadows
may pass through the next door.”
Tinker projects a hologram over the pillars. “This is a mechanism! If we activate the right pillars, the door should open. But if we choose the wrong ones…” She beeps nervously, letting the sentence hang in the air.
Willow cautiously steps up to a pillar and taps it. “What if we just try them all?”
“That sounds like a terrible idea,” Tinker chirps. “There has to be a logic. The outer ones are special, and the ones in the middle seem to contradict each other.”
“Then let’s solve the puzzle,” you say with determination. As you touch the pillars, they begin to glow – some brighter than others. The floor vibrates, and a soft clicking sound is heard. Tinker projects another hologram:
“You’re close! Choose the correct positions, and the door will open.”
Cursed Pseudo-Classes
You find an old console with a control panel – and an instruction note that looks like it was scribbled by a nervous mechanic with greasy fingers. Tinker immediately zaps into the system. “The columns are defined as .pillar inside the .pillars container. We have to color them without adding new classes.
So go ahead – bring order to the chaos before the system kicks us out!”
