The Shadow Chronicles
You’ve manipulated the shadow core and broken Umbra’s control over the fortress. But instead of fleeing, you feel something remains — a final fragment of her influence, hidden deep within the fortress. “This isn’t over,” Willow murmurs, eyeing the walls with concern.
Tinker projects a new hologram: a cluster of scrolls, their contents surrounded by shimmering shadows. “The Shadow Chronicle – Obscura Nox,” she chirps. “That’s what’s left. Her power lives in every word.” Once again, Umbra suddenly appears before you — her figure flickering, untouchable. She squints as a beam of daylight breaks through the now open window, illuminating the floor. With an irritated sigh, she turns halfway aside.
“Can’t you turn off that dreadful light? It ruins the entire atmosphere!” Then she faces you again, her voice sharp. “You’ve defeated the core, but my chronicles preserve my essence. You won’t be able to decipher them — they are protected by more than mere words.”
Tinker buzzes excitedly.
“We have to decipher the hidden symbols. There are clues in the first letters, the first lines, and the margin markings. If we find the correct sequence, we can banish the shadows for good.”
Obscura Nox
Before you lies an ornately decorated cryptex – a mysterious lock that can only be opened with the correct combination of letters. Turn the wrong symbols, and it remains mercilessly sealed. But behind its metallic discs surely hides another clue. Of course.
Between the yellowed pages of the Shadow Chronicles, Umbra’s Curse catches your eye immediately. The words flicker in the twilight, as if trying to escape your gaze.
Only those who decode the hidden commands within the lines can form the correct solution word – the only key to unlock the cryptex.
Your mind is needed. And time is running out.
