The Distorted Shadows

The scale trembles one final time, then finds its balance. A clear, harmonious light fills the room. With a soft click, a drawer opens on the pedestal – inside lies the number key for the Cryptex. And within it rests the rune that can break Umbra’s curse. A cold breath brushes your skin.

Umbra’s presence weakens, yet she clings to the last remnants of her power. The next room is a labyrinth of warped mirrors and twisted shadows. The walls seem to shift, as if you’re walking through a kaleidoscope. “This is her final trick,” Willow murmurs.
“Everything here looks real, but nothing is what it seems.”

Tinker whirs anxiously and projects a hologram onto the wall. “The shadows use distortions to mislead us. If we apply the correct transformations, we can break the illusion and find the exit.”

Suddenly, Umbra appears in one of the reflections, her face distorted like something from a nightmare. “You cannot comprehend my world. It belongs to me – and we will consume you.” The mirrors and shadows begin to spin faster, and the room seems to shrink with every breath.

“We have to correct the geometry of the shadows,” Tinker beeps.
“Every wall, every reflection can be transformed. Rotate them, scale them, shift them – until reality becomes visible again!”

The Gallery of Heroes

Once, these shadows were proud memories, displayed in a gallery that honored their deeds. Each one a freedom fighter, a hero of Aetheron, immortalized in portraits that told their story.

But Umbra distorted their legacy. What was once a hall of honor is now a twisted parody of those who fought for freedom.
Shapes bend, faces contort — a curse that stripped them of their dignity.

Bring them back. Align the images so the shadows once again show what they were meant to be:
Symbols of hope, not fear.

Thaddeus

The master alchemist, was shifted 20px to the right and 150px down.
As if that wasn’t enough, Umbra also rotated him -40 degrees — a true artistic disaster.

Caelan

Once known as a brave young scout, was hit by a single 30-degree rotation. He now looks like he’s trying to escape his own frame.

Elyndra

One of the first strategists of the rebellion, was rotated by 90 degrees and then shrunk to 0.8 of her original size. As if someone decided to reduce her importance along with her size.

Umbra

a strong hero in her youth, before the curse consumed her, was scaled up by a factor of 1.4 and rotated 125 degrees — as if someone wanted to confuse her past.
