The Dance of Light
The shadows flicker and fade as the fortress makes one last attempt to fight back. The ground trembles beneath your feet, and the walls pulse with rhythmic light — as if the very structure is breathing.
Tinker buzzes with alarm.
“This is her final defense! She’s using everything she has left to stop us!” Willow stares wide-eyed at the dancing patterns on the walls. “What is this? A disco?” Tinker projects a hologram. “This isn’t a disco! It’s an animation field. Everything moves, rotates, floats, and glides to throw us off. We have to use the rhythm of light to reach the core. If we control the movements, we can break Umbra’s power once and for all.”
You gently place the rune onto the field, then reach into your pack and take out the Phial of Light. As you unseal it, a glowing star rises into the air, joins the swirling patterns, and bathes the room in hopeful brilliance. Now it’s up to you. If your heart is pure and you guide the star in perfect rhythm, the rune will shine —and with it, Umbra’s curse will break.
A whisper fills the air, and Umbra appears in her flickering form.
“You think you can control my essence? I am both light and shadow. You will lose yourselves.” “Or maybe we’ll just outdance you,” mutters Willow, bracing his sword against the ground.
“Get ready,” chirps Tinker. “We must mirror her movements and restore the harmony of light.
Only then can the curse be broken.”
The Dance of the Star
Tinker buzzes excitedly and projects a series of shimmering symbols into the air. “Okay, listen! This animation field follows specific rules — if we understand them, we can outsmart Umbra. The star is our key. It has to move in the correct rhythm, or the darkness will remain.”
