Cursed Tiles!
The darkness of the shadowy fortress seems to grow thicker, and the floor beneath you feels strange. You sense a faint vibration, as if the ground itself were breathing. Tinker beeps excitedly: “This isn’t a normal floor! These tiles can be activated or deactivated – but I need your instructions to control them!”
Willow cautiously steps onto one of the tiles and quickly pulls his foot back as a loud click echoes through the room. “That definitely didn’t sound comforting.” “Comforting?” Tinker chirps sarcastically. “That was a trap! These tiles are part of a mechanism. We need to activate or remove them depending on whether they help us move forward or not.”
In front of you lies a pattern of rectangular tiles, each one seemingly alive. Some are stable, others move ever so slightly, and some can’t seem to decide whether they even want to exist.
“This fortress is Umbra’s playground,” Tinker mutters, projecting a schematic of the floor.
“If we step on the wrong tiles, traps will be triggered. But if we control them properly, we can pass through safely.” Willow shakes his head. “This is insane. So… activate, deactivate, or leave them as they are. And if we mess up?” “Then let’s hope you can run faster than I can,” Tinker chirps.
You look around and give Tinker your first instructions. The tiles in front of you begin to shift – some disappear, others stabilize. “That’s it!” Tinker beeps. “Keep going!” The task is clear: You must find the right path through the tiles without triggering the deadly mechanisms – and without falling into the shadows’ trap.
Umbra’s voice echoes through the darkness.
“You play by my rules… but can you truly understand them?”
Don’t Step on the Mines…
Umbra has manipulated the tiles with cunning and deception – some are hidden, others appear larger than they really are. Find the faulty properties in the pairs and correct them so that all tiles are the same size. Only then can you cross the room safely and avoid the traps.
