A Farewell
The celebration in Greenwood Hollow is brief, but full of relief. The rebels know that Kragor Ironfist is no longer a threat to their home –yet Bastet’s mission is far from over. Sonya steps beside you and places a hand on your shoulder.
“Your journey doesn’t end here,” she says. “Bastet still needs you. And the next challenge… will be harder.”
Tinker projects a map, which promptly mutates into a mess
of shifting lines and tangled dots. “The Labyrinth of Vorath,” she chirps. “An ancient, unfinished bastion – guarded by a centaur master who rearranges paths at will. To pass through, you’ll need to master the art of arrangement.” Sonya hands you a small compass whose needle won’t stop spinning.
“That’s all we can give you. Good luck – and don’t let yourself be misled.” With a swirl of emotion, you set off. The light of the forest fades behind you, and before long, you stand at the entrance of the immense, looming labyrinth.
Tinker hovers nervously, her lights flickering. “This is it. Vorath is no ordinary foe. But if you learn how to arrange things just right, you may just outwit him.”
