A Bard in Distress
It’s around midday when a crooked melody drifts toward you from afar. Curious, you follow the sound until you stumble upon a small clearing—and a rather eccentric bard. His outfit looks like a rainbow had a very bad day, and the lute in his hands seems just as emotionally frayed as he is.
“There you are at last!” he cries, as if he’d been waiting for no one else in the entire world. He leaps to his feet, his cloak fluttering dramatically behind him, and gives you a conspiratorial wink.
“My tour dates and tales must go online! But all this business with search engine content… I’m an artist, not a wizard!”
He strums another painfully off-key chord and sighs with theatrical despair.
Before you can protest, he pulls out a small, mysterious box.
“Help me, and this chest is yours! Bastet left it behind, and I’m certain it’s priceless.”
He smiles so broadly that you’re quite sure: if you refuse, he will start singing.
You sigh quietly and open your spellbook.
As you begin to explain the basics of properly formatting his content, the bard hops around excitedly, telling you about his “adventures”—most of which seem to involve more imagination than actual geography.
“Don’t forget to include my best keywords,” he says with sudden seriousness.
“The search engines must adore me.”
Once you’re done, he beams at you.
“I knew you had it in you!”
With a grand, theatrical flourish, he presses the box into your hands.
“Now go forth and do great things, my brilliant sorcerer of the Internet!”
